A closeup of my daughter's orange tabby, Tigger. He was going to be euthanized because his original owner did not want to pay for a specialist to treat his illness. He was released to the animal hospital and my daughter, who is a veterinary technician there, assumed responsibility for him, paid for his treatment and brought him home.
I have always loved being in the outdoors. In addition to photography, a few of my favorite activities include hiking, bird-watching, attending airshows and growing orchids. I enjoy working in my yard and have planted numerous flowers, shrubs and trees that attract a wide variety of birds and butterflies. The changing seasons mean there's always something new to see through the lens of my camera, and capturing the beauty of nature brings me great joy.
